FXVA HerStory Women’s History Campaign

The Challenge
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, Visit Fairfax wanted to highlight the county’s connection to women’s history while inspiring the next generation of leaders.

The Insight
The lessons of the suffrage movement—standing up for beliefs, fighting for change, and empowering others—remain deeply relevant for young people today.

The Idea
We created HerStory, a campaign connecting past and present by pairing young girls’ reflections on leadership and change with historical women who helped shape Fairfax County’s history.

The Execution
I created the entire visual identity, art direction, and design for the campaign. The visual system blended black-and-white archival photography with bold pink accents, creating a striking contrast between historical imagery and contemporary voices.

The Impact
HerStory amplified awareness of Fairfax County’s role in women’s history while inspiring younger audiences to see themselves as future changemakers.
